Our proposals sit within the Elsenham Green Ring, which is designed to create a setting for development, protecting distinctive landscape features and the setting and separate identity of Henham. The Green Ring also serves a range of other vital purposes:

• Creating a network of new habitats, increasing the biodiversity value of the site;

• Providing a network of formal and informal recreational opportunities;

• Accommodating sustainable drainage features and renewable energy infrastructure; and

• Promoting local food production including community orchards and allotments.
